SOLO/DUO captures a live recording by Eli Wallace (piano) and Beth McDonald (tuba) at Experimental Sound Studio, Chicago, IL on July 29, 2019.

The first track is a solo piano piece by Wallace. This set displays the culmination of a year of devotion to playing in the solo piano format after touring in Canada and completing a residency in Mexico City.

The second track is a first musical meeting by Wallace and McDonald. In this encounter McDonald completely changes the dynamic, adding an paradoxically enormous but subtle presence, ineluctably altering the piano sound.
